The Schoolhouse

HISTORY WITH A NEW CHAPTER

An old schoolhouse. A place to come together.

Our farm takes its name from the one-room schoolhouse on our property—a piece of local history we’re working to bring back to life.

Historic brick schoolhouse with tall arched windows and autumn trees

Rooted here since 1887

Known as Street School, or Township School No. 1, the schoolhouse was built in 1887 in Roundhead Township, Hardin County. Its brick walls and stone foundation are part of what makes this place special.

Restoring the character

We’re putting care into the schoolhouse one project at a time, preserving its history while making room for seasonal farm offerings and future gatherings. Vintage lighting and warm, collected details are part of its next chapter.
